WHY IS EMPLOYER BRANDING IMPORTANT?

Attracting and retaining the talent to drive innovation and growth has become increasingly complex. The world around is full of social, technological, political and economic change which is creating multiple challenges for companies and shows no sign of easing soon!

These changes are driving widespread changes in employment patterns and even the nature of how work gets done. How candidates and even customers perceive an organisation as a “Great place to work,” is impacting on a company’s ability to attract and retain talent more than ever before. Managing the strength of your employer brand is now a mission critical business function.

The explosion of the digital ecosystem and access to smartphone technology has seen the use of video in employer branding strategies skyrocket over the past couple of years and it is forecast to only accelerate!


CELEBRATING EMPLOYER BRANDING VIDEO EXCELLENCE

One of the most effective ways for companies to authentically communicate their brand is through video. The aim of the Golden Clip Awards is:

  • To recognise excellence in employer branding video,
  • To raise awareness of the importance of video in employer branding, and
  • To inspire companies to innovate and learn from best practice companies around the world.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN CLIP AWARDS



The Golden Clip Awards were established in 2016 and the inaugural winners were chosen from companies in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The 2017 awards build upon the success of the 2016 competition and has been expanded to a global awards through partnership with World Employer Branding Day 2017 (world conference about employer branding, which brings together companies and agencies from to celebrate employer brand excellence).
  • The 2017 competition is open for companies from all around the world.
  • The winner are chosen by an international jury of experts in video and employer branding.
  • The results of The Golden Clip Awards 2017 were announced at World Employer Branding Day in Budapest, Hungary.
The award for the best global employer branding video is judged on three criteria:
  • Alignment with the company`s employer brand strategy,
  • Creative execution, and
  • Shareability.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:
The competition is open to all organizations that fulfil the following:
  1. Are employing at least 5 people working on full time employment.
  2. Company was founded no later than the 1st of January 2015.
  3. The nominated video is uploaded online and public on YouTube or Vimeo.
  4. Non-English videos must include English subtitles.
  5. Videos nominated for the 2016 version of the Golden Clip Awards are ineligible.

Videos can be nominated during the open nomination period. Nominations for Golden Clip Awards 2018 will be open soon.
